Cushion - Blue Shrimp
Keeping it local!
North Shields Fish Quay is a fishing port located close to the mouth of the River Tyne, in North Shields, Tyne and Wear, North East England, 8 miles (13 km) east of the city of Newcastle upon Tyne. It is the largest English port for prawns.
The Fish Quay dates back to the 13th Century and has a fascinating history. In 1225 a village of shielings (fisherman's huts) developed where the Fish Quay stands today. North Shields took it's name from the shielings and the fact it stands on the north bank of the River Tyne.
100% cotton printed in vivid colours with a technique that consists in applying wax resin on the fabric before submerging it in dye.
