Every BAESHA object begins somewhere: with a person, a material, a practice, a place or an idea worth carrying forward.
Provenance is how we make those relationships visible. We identify who made an object, where it was produced, what materials were used and which cultural or creative references shaped it. Where several traditions meet, we preserve their differences rather than presenting them as anonymous inspiration.
BAESHA works with makers, artists, designers and specialist producers whose knowledge contributes directly to the character of each piece. Collaboration is treated as a relationship, not simply a supply chain. Attribution, permission and fair exchange are part of the work.
The questions developed through DZINU™ help us consider whose knowledge is being carried, how it is represented and what responsibilities continue beyond the finished object.
That responsibility also extends beyond purchase. Through refill, return, repair and renewal, we aim to extend the useful life of products and reduce unnecessary replacement. Our refillable candles are the beginning of this commitment, with further systems introduced only when they are practical, credible and properly supported.
Packaging is considered according to what the product genuinely needs. We reduce excess, favour reuse where possible and avoid turning responsibility into a decorative claim.
Provenance is not a fixed story. Knowledge develops, relationships change and language sometimes needs to be revised. We will remain transparent about what we know, what we are still learning and where each object has come from.
Responsibility is not a campaign. It is part of how the house operates.
